SUMMARY:Concentration and Insight: A Buddhist Dharma and Insight Retreat
DESCRIPTION:This silent retreat is for individuals who want to deepen and strengthen their meditation practice\, their understanding of the Buddha’s teachings\, and live the Dharma more fully in their daily lives. \nThe format follows a fairly standard schedule of periods of meditation\, walking\, morning instruction in practices of concentration and insight\, individual interviews\, evening Dharma talks\, and closing out the day with loving-kindness meditation. \nIt is beneficial for attendees to have attended other silent retreats and have experience in sitting for multiple meditation periods through out the day and evening.

SUMMARY:Wednesday Sangha Sittings and Dhamma Instruction
DESCRIPTION:Our main weekly event\, Sangha Night\, is open to all. We begin our evening with a short walking meditation to settle the body and mind followed by 20 – 30 minutes of sitting practice. Then\, our usual program follows with a Dharma talk on one of the many aspects of the Buddhist path by one of our highly qualified and experienced Dharma Teachers or Meditation Instructors. We also celebrate special programs and events on Wednesday nights\, for example: meditations on the 4 Divine Abidings every 1st Wednesday\, recitation of the 5 Precepts on Wednesdays nearest the full-moon\, Refuge Vow ceremonies\, and holiday celebrations such as Wesak.
