The Divine Abidings
September 5, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm MDT
$30The Buddha recognized that the Unwholesome Roots of greed, hatred (aversion), and delusion
(ignorance, confusion) keep endless cycles of suffering churning for ourselves and others.
The Four Divine Abidings are an antidote. They invite us to refashion our heart/mind away from
our habits and impulses of anger, fear, despair, jealousy, selfishness, shame, judgment and
ignorance toward cultivation of loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity.
As we continue to embody these relational qualities, we cultivate a generous and magnanimous
spirit, an unbounded friendliness toward all beings, and a direct understanding of the universality
of the human experience. Doing so, we cultivate the path to the end of struggle and discontent for ourselves and all beings.
Join RMI Dharma Teacher, Ananda Marga Callender, in exploring these Divine Abidings. We
will investigate each individual Divine Abiding as well as consider how they interact and support the cultivation and expression of the others.
Mark your calendar for the four Mondays in September from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. MountainTime.
This will be a hybrid offering so attendees can join in at the RMI vihara as well as on zoom.
We seek to create a sangha of openness, support, and respect during the class so ask that
those sign up set an intention to attend all four classes and actively participate in the class
through attention, participation in meditation and exercises and interaction.
Cost for the class is $30 which will go to support RMI, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Dana for the teacher is also gratefully received.
